"Greetings fellow lifelong learners! I am Deana Currie, a proud 30 year public school educator. Additionally, I've been a creative consultant in the crafting industry for 15 years, and I've served as the yearbook advisor/editor for our school publication over the last three years. During my three decades in education, I have taught courses in Ancient History, U.S. History, English Language Arts, Geography, Reading, and Journalism. However, I am most passionate about reading and writing, specifically to enhance the records of my ancestral chronology and create the narratives of our past. Writing creatively through journaling, poetry, and short stories affords me the perfect outlet to document my personal history and that of my descendants in the future. As an avid scrapbooker, I continue to refine my writing through the stories of my children and our extended family. It brings me much joy and satisfaction to read and write for others. Moreover, I relish the opportunity to help develop the talents of those who wish to continue their journey of self expression and memory keeping through writing."
